Motorola is in some hot water, after this ITC ruling. Close to the end of last year, a ruling was made that Motorola was found guilty of infringing on Microsoft's IP. Well, they have closed their decision and issues an exuclsion order to ban Motorola's offending devices from importation into the United States. Devices affected include the DROID RAZR, DROID RAZR MAXX, DROID RAZR (and all its color variants), DROID 4, Bionics and many others.

Microsoft has issued a statement:

Microsoft sued Motorola in the ITC only after Motorola chose to refuse Microsoft's efforts to renew a patent license for well over a year. We're pleased the full Commission agreed that Motorola has infringed Microsoft's intellectual property, and we hope that now Motorola will be willing to join the vast majority of Android device makers selling phones in the US by taking a license to our patents.

Motorola Mobility will not experience any impact in the near term, as the Commission's ruling is subject to a $0.33/per unit bond during the 60 day Presidential review period. We will explore all options including appeal.

Yesterday was not a good day for good ol' HTC. Their stock took a tumble after Apple won a complaint to the ITC. Due to Apple winning, they were able to halt the smartphone shipments of the AT&T HTC One X, and the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE. HTC's share price has dropped over 6.5% since the news of the occurrence.

On the positive side, HTC believes that they have implemented a workaround to the patented technology Apple was complaining about, but how long will that take? Not only have HTC built units that have the old software without the fix on them, they have to go to the ITC to get it approved and to ensure the changes are in compliance with the "limited exclusion order".

Calling this phone slow would just hurt its feelings. Beating out the AT&T One X, Transformer Prime, Galaxy Nexus, and many others (as you can see above), this is one powerful device. The ASUS PadFone packs the powerful dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, and Adreno 225 GPU. Netbooknews gave the benchmark you can see above, so thank for that. The ASUS PadFone scored 5,057 and a Sunspider score of 1,917ms, putting it above the HTC One X.

If you were looking to pick up a HTC One X at AT&T or online, you may be out of luck. Apple was granted last December an ITC exclusion order over hyperlinks in the messaging app and the browser. The EVO 4G LTE is also affected. HTC has sent this message:

T-Mobile has announced that the HTC Sensation 4G will be getting updated to Ice Cream Sandwich on May 16th.
Some more good news? T-Mobile has updated the support docs for the Amaze 4G for ICS.

SCH-I535 is the Verizon Galaxy S III and it has popped up on Nenmark benchmark right before it debuts in June. Rumor has it today that Google is working on it's own social gaming hub, similar to the own found on iOS. The app would have leader boards, friends lists, multiplayer combat, and an achievement system. Business Insider states that Google has made some attempts at the new gaming hub, but stopped because it "wasn't like Google." Whatever that means. Hopefully we will see this demoed at Google I/O 2012.

Big Blue and Samsung arn't going to pull a Motorola today, because today they have officially announced that the Skyrocket HD will not be coming to the network. With a bump in the Ghz and a 720p display, this phone has been tossed to the bin. With the Galaxy S III around the corner, the device would not sell well, so it makes sense it was cancelled. Now, we just wait for the prototypes to head up on to eBay.

LG has been working hard to compete with the Galaxy S III so they announced the Optimus LTE2. One of the crazy parts of this phone is the fact it has 2GB of RAM. Some other specs leaked are the fact it has a Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, 4.7" True HD IPS display, Ice Cream Sandwich with LG's skin, and a 2,150mAh battery. With a system being built out over the next 12 months, customers will soon be able to dial and text 911 to get help. This new system will be coming in handy for those with hearing or speech disabilities. Verizon will start rolling this out in early 2013 to metropolitan areas.

Verizon and HTC have just made the DROID Incredible 4G LTE official, and they released some already confirmed specs. AT&T will be getting the HTC One X soon, and most of you would expect the bootloader to come unlocked correct? Well think again. It looks like AT&T gave HTC the boot and told them to lock it. Many users experienced issues when trying to unlock the device though HTC Dev, which made HTC fork out this reply to the situation.

Leaks are going crazy, mostly because the 'next Galaxy' is being announced tomorrow! First up is the screenshot above. It shows that the device will be coming in Blue and White. And that is all there is to it! Next up, is some UAProf from a Verizon page that lists a Samsung device by SCH-I535, which would be next in Verizon's Galaxy lineup.


Next up is the Galaxy S3 bootscreen! You can see GT-i9300 that has been rumored all along, and this confirms the Galaxy S III name.

Getting closer to launch, I am starting to believe these leaks more and more, as it would make sense, since the announcement of the new Galaxy is coming this Friday, which we will be covering by the way.
