US Cellular launched their 4G LTE network in 9 markets in late 2011. Unfortunately -
at launch (and until March), there are no devices that can use it.

Launch Markets:
  • Milwaukee, Madison and Racine, WI
  • Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport, IA
  • Portland and Bangor, ME
  • Greenville, NC

The first 4G LTE devices for US Cellular will be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 -
(available in March) and the Samsung Aviator (available in April).

Future Markets:

By the end of 2012, US Cellular will cover 54% of its customers with 4G LTE.

The additional markets include select cities in: Illinois, Iowa, Maryland,
Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee,
Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin

Some of the cities in those states are:
  • Rockford and Peoria, IL
  • Columbia and Jefferson City, MO
  • Manchester, NH
  • Wilmington and Jacksonville, NC
  • Tulsa, OK
  • Medford, OR
  • Knoxville, TN
  • Roanoke and Lynchburg, VA
  • Yakima and the Tri-Cities, WA
  • Morgantown, WV
  • LaCrosse and Beloit, WI
